Chapter Philanthropy

Zeta Tau Alpha’s national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness, and Ellen is the Kappa chapter’s Philanthropy Chair. She has loved being involved in service work throughout the years and is honored to lead Zeta in supporting out great philanthropy. Ellen has witnessed the positive impact that breast cancer education and awareness can have and is excited to set and reach for higher goals this year in raising money for our chapter.

During the month of October, you can find ZTA’s passing out Pink Ribbons in the West Mall to everyone who walks by. We have also partnered with the athletic department to host “pink out” basketball games, where more ribbons are passed out, donations are collected, and we’re able to have lots of great bonding time with our sisters. We not only go to support our philanthropy, but of course to give lots of love to our Longhorns. During March, we also hosted “B+BQ” in the house backyard, partnered with the Texas Spurs, to help raise money for this powerful cause.

We are starting something new this year for our main philanthropy event and are beyond excited to see how it turns out! On April 5th at 6pm, Texas Zeta will be hosting UT’s first annual Big Man on Campus event at Hogg Auditorium. This fun event is a collegiate male pageant in which male contestants from different campus organizations compete to raise money for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness!
